Position: Research Associate –Assay Development Location: Cambridge Salary: Competitive
A growing Biotechnology company are currently looking to recruit a Research Associate to join the assay development team for a 12 month FTC. The Role As the Research Associate within Assay Development you’ll support the design, development and execution of in vitro biological assays and establishment of standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake experiments involving the development of controlled methods for pre-clinical analytics, candidate characterisation and clinical release assays
- Design and execute a diverse range of experiments for investigations of novel therapeutic antibodies and antibody fragments
- Carry out on-going analysis of data generated to identify issues and implement necessary changes.
- Communicate ideas, experimental strategy methods and results to supervisor and teams.
- Read scientific literature and keep up with the new trends and techniques related to role
- Establish a broad technical skill set as well as understanding of rigorous approach to assay development and maintenance, ensuring robust methods are available to span drug discovery and development processes
- Extend and maintain knowledge of best practice and regulatory guidelines with a view to transferring methods into a regulated environment to be used under GLP and GMP regulations
